Alchemy distribution is set to release the feature film, ‘The Bandit Hound’ directed by Michelle Danner. ‘The Bandit Hound’ is a funny, heartwarming story about a lovable dog, named BANDIT, who is trained to pull off bank heists by a pair of robbers. When a heist goes wrong, Bandit escapes and is rescued by a single mom and her son, Owen. As the friendship between young Owen and Bandit grows, the former nefarious trainers suddenly reappear and try to steal Bandit back. What ensues is fun filled adventure and an unbreakable bond of a boy and his dog.
‘The Bandit Hound’ introduces upcoming actor Nicholas Alexander and stars CATHERINE BELL (Army Wives, Bruce Almighty, Jag), JUDD NELSON (The Breakfast Club), PAUL SORVINO (Goodfellas), LOU FERRIGNO (The Incredible Hulk), JOE FLANIGAN (Stargate: Atlantis, 6 Bullets), and VERNE TROYER (Austin Powers).
***Michelle Danner is a renowned acting coach and film director whose clients include James Franco, Gerard Butler, Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, Seth MacFarlane, Penelope Cruz, Michael Pena, Isla Fisher, Common, and many others. She is the founding and artistic director of Edgemar Center for the Arts (www.edgemarcenter.org), a two theater and art gallery complex in Santa Monica, CA.
Danner heads the production company, All In Films, and has produced several films, including Hello Herman, and soon to be released, The Bandit Hound. All in Films, has several film projects in development, including “You’re on the Air,” and “The Will To.” All In Films is an independent film production company. “The Bandit Hound” is her third feature film. In 2006, she made her feature film-directing debut with “How to Go Out on a Date in Queens,” which won four LA Film Awards including Best Director. It starred Jason Alexander, Esai Morales, Ron Perlman, Kimberly Williams, Rob Estes, and Alison Eastwood
“Hello Herman” written by John Buffalo Mailer, starred Norman Reedus from “The Walking Dead” and “Boondock Saints” and Martha Higareda. “Hello Herman,” is a compelling drama about a tragic Columbine-esque school shooting and its devastating effects. The movie premiered at the Hollywood Film Festival and had its international premiere at the Monaco Charity Film Festival winning the award for socially relevant film.
